ROBERT FATA
STAND UP COMEDIAN, WRITER, ACTOR
Robert Fata has been around the comedy scene since his junior year
high school talent showcase, where he did his first ever stand-up act. With a
fond memory of how the show went, Robert took every local comedy class,
along with voice and improv workshops. It was his first show in college however
that made him stand out from other performers. Two local TV producers saw
him and later utilized him in several of their television shows.
Around the same
time, the rise and fall of All Comedy Radio landed him a job as a co-host,
which lead to other radio appearances on KUPD and KWSS for years to come.
Robert began getting more stand-up work around the greater Phoenix
area; and after a few short years, he went from being a city-wide working
comic to a nationally touring comedian. He’s done shows for cultural
awareness, and charities like Toys for Tots, and A.C.E.S. for Kids.
Robert has performed in rooms of all sizes, from small and intimate, to
large and high class, ranging from family style restaurants to the Tempe Improv.
He’s worked with big names like Craig Gass, Judy Tenuta, Hal Sparks and
Gilbert Gottfried. His humor’s been described as intelligently sardonic .
Having graduated with a two year degree from community college,
Robert now seeks his bachelor’s from Arizona State University where he studies
biochemistry. Despite that large contrast from comedy, he still finds time to
make regular appearances on KWSS 106.7FM on Driving with Gass, as well as
honing his skills at his home club, The Comedy Spot in Scottsdale, Arizona.
